This research explores the intricate relationship between emotional regulation, parenting style, and resilience among adolescents during the critical developmental period of adolescence. Adolescence is marked by significant emotional, cognitive, and social changes, emphasizing the importance of understanding factors contributing to well-being and adjustment during this phase. Effective emotional regulation, influenced by parenting style, plays a crucial role in adolescent resilience. The study reviews existing literature, presents findings from research conducted with adolescents, and discusses implications for interventions and support mechanisms. Emotional regulation refers to processes by which individuals influence the occurrence, intensity, duration, and expression of emotions. Parenting style significantly influences emotional development and regulation in adolescents, with authoritative parenting associated with positive outcomes, including higher levels of emotional regulation and resilience. Resilience, the capacity to adapt and bounce back from adversity, is a key protective factor during adolescence. Adolescents with higher resilience levels demonstrate adaptive coping mechanisms and social support networks, facilitating effective navigation of challenges. This study's quantitative research design examined the relationships between emotional regulation, parenting style, and adolescent resilience. Statistical analyses revealed significant correlations between these variables, highlighting the importance of authoritative parenting in fostering adaptive emotional regulation strategies and resilience. The findings underscore the significance of parental warmth, support, and positive discipline techniques in promoting adolescent well-being and resilience. The implications extend to various settings, including schools, families, and mental health services, emphasizing the importance of promoting positive parent-child relationships and enhancing emotional competence to support adolescent development and resilience.
